Tuesday 26th November 2024, 1:00pm to 2:30pm
Roslin Innovation Centre, Easter Bush Campus, EH25 9RG
Midlothian Science Zone (MSZ) Business Forum is hosted several times a year to encourage engagement and collaboration between organisations 'in the zone'. It aims to bring together a wide range of businesses to identify shared support needs, collaborative opportunities and share knowledge across the region; signposting to research, expertise and business services. Guest speakers are invited to present on themes of interest and benefit to our community.
The next Business Forum will be hosted at Roslin Innovation Centre and will be led by Val Hughes-White, Director of Innovation, to introduce the new Agri-Tech Hub for Data-Driven Innovation (DDI), part of the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Deal, and will showcase recently opened additional office and meeting space on the ground floor of the Charnock Bradley Building which supports this.
Val will provide a flavour of the Talent, Research, Adoption, Data and Entrepreneurial activity within the DDI Agri-Tech Hub which involves staff and students from across the Easter Bush Campus and wider University.
In line with the growing demand and expansion of Animal Health, Agri-tech and Aquaculture tenants (A3), together with One Health focussed tenant companies and academic organisations based at Roslin Innovation Centre, the new development of vacant space opened for business in May 2024, to drive forward agri-tech innovation and collaboration on Campus.
The ‘moss zone’ consists of a mix of office space and meeting rooms in a variety of sizes and a hot desk membership area. In addition, there is ‘incubator’ and lab space within the Levels 1 and 2 of Roslin Innovation Centre, as well as agricultural space within the Agri Field Station which opened on the nearby Dryden Farm in early 2024.
We invite you to join us for light refreshments and networking, to learn more about the Hub and Membership opportunities within this innovative and collaborative science and research community in Midlothian Science Zone.
**Please note this is the new date for the event postponed from 22 October. Guests signed up for the original date will have first option on places, however we are running a waiting list.**
There is a wealth of facilities and services across 'the zone' which are accessible to tenant companies, researchers and business. Our events provide a forum to highlight expertise and showcase research, core capabilities, support and services available, to ignite discussion and opportunities for collaboration with hosts and attendees.
