A gathering space that allows meeting and interaction across Campus
We offer space where people can communicate physically and intellectually, and provide a gathering space that allows meeting and interaction from across the Campus, whilst also serving as an information point for the general public.
The Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre (EBSOC) has been created to develop public engagement. It provides an education facility for schools to raise interest and awareness of animal science with the next generation.
The purpose-built laboratory at EBSOC opened for visits from schools and community groups from January 2018.
Our full height atrium will act as the gateway to Easter Bush Campus and will also be ideal as an exhibition area.
This space is an opportunity to develop new relationships and raise public awareness through popular events. The Easter Bush Campus has been regularly involved in public engagement and outreach activities including:
The Roslin Innovation Centre will be the gateway to the rest of the Easter Bush Campus, with shared facilities such as a shop, gym and student services, all located on the ground floor.
Amenities include:
The gym at Easter Bush Campus is located on the ground floor of the Roslin Innovation Centre and marks the start of a phased roll out of physical activity opportunities at the Campus.
This is the first 'satellite gym' for the University of Edinburgh and will be staffed by Sport & Exercise staff during opening hours (Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm - subject to change).
Membership is available exclusively to our tenants, as well as University of Edinburgh students and staff.
State-of-the-art equipment includes:
A group exercise programme, workshops, boot camps and trim trail coming soon.
Roslin Innovation Centre will act as the focal point to the Campus and everyone is welcome, from nurturing young talent to providing knowledge exchange opportunities for bioscience companies at varying stages of maturity.
"The Easter Bush Science Outreach Centre will provide a gathering space that allows public engagement, meetings and integration across Campus."
