The organisers of Midlothian Science Festival would like local people and community groups to volunteer, to help with festival planning, event development and management and various behind the scenes roles.

You can suggest an event for Midlothian Science Festival to run with your group, create an event (with support from Midlothian Science Festival) for your local community, help to ensure the events are accessible to everyone in Midlothian and get involved in many other aspects of festival planning.

This is a great opportunity for public engagement, to gain experience, meet new people, to get involved in something different and to also suggest activities you would like to see in your local area.

It’s completely up to you how you volunteer. No experience is necessary and you don’t need to have a science background / any specific scientific experience or skills.

More important is you have enthusiasm to get involved.

If you are interested please register by 12 noon, Monday 13 May - either complete a short volunteer form or email claire.jellema@ed.ac.uk
